Just Yolo Takes the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award

This weekend at Gold Coast Made in the Shade, Just Yolo and I walked away with the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award, and honestly, it's not the story I expected to be telling.
Yolo belongs to my student Bella Watson, and Fourth Level Test One was supposed to be hers this weekend. Then on Thursday she took a fall off a jumper she was showing and dislocated her shoulder. So instead of coaching from the rail, I found myself in the irons.
I hadn't been on him myself in a bit. He's a good, honest gelding, and he gave me exactly what I asked. We scored a 68.552% and won the class, then I was delighted to learn we were awarded the Healthy Horse Award on top of it, which speaks well of my incredible team.
